Green Army, welcome back to RAC Arena for season 2025.
We can’t think of a better way to start off the year than a huge clash against the NSW Swifts in front of our home crowd.
The squad have been working extremely hard during the pre-season, getting ready to fight to go that one step further this year.
In Round One, we introduce our new shooter Mwai Kumwenda to the experience of running out in the green dress at RAC Arena in front of the Green Army. I’m sure you will make her more than welcome.
MJ has been working tirelessly during training alongside her fellow shooters Shanice Beckford and Olivia Wilkinson and has seamlessly slotted into the Fever way of life.
I have been very impressed with the work of young gun Olivia Wilkinson during the pre-season. She has taken the adjustment to the Goal Shooter bib in her stride and demonstrated during Team Girls Cup how she is coming into her own as a second-year player.
Our defensive unit has only gotten stronger with the incorporation of Ruth Aryang, who joins her sister Sunday, Kadie-Ann Dehaney and Fran Williams to make one of the most solid defensive line-ups in the competition.
You can’t go past our mid-court led by Captain Jess Anstiss. The fitness and cohesive systems of herself, Alice Teague-Neeld, Jordan and Zoe Cransberg are a force to be reckon with.
Every match matters this year and although today won’t be easy, we know the Green Army will be right behind us the entire time making plenty of noise in our Green Fortress.
So Gear up in Green and Feel the Fever as we take on the Swifts!
